COPE with Persisting Symptoms of Concussion
Who: For individuals with persisting symptoms of concussion / TBI (at least 3-months post-injury)
What: This class is designed to provide Cognitive Rehabilitation, Psychotherapy, and Education (COPE) with the overall goal of improving coping and self-efficacy. Participants will gain a better understanding of concussive injuries including effects, recovery patterns, and available treatments. They will also learn strategies for managing mood/emotions as well as cognitive symptoms including attention, memory, and executive function.
Why: Research shows that psychoeducation, psychotherapy, and cognitive rehabilitation are beneficial in treating persisting symptoms of concussion.
When: 10 weeks, 2-hour sessions
